This might sound a tad apocalyptic but I don’t think we are going to be allowed to vote our way out of the mess that Europe has become. Looking at what has just happened in the Netherlands general election we see this is all too apparent.
This Dutch election was historic in its close results, with the Liberal D66 narrowly surpassing Geert Wilders’ PVV. The election outcome reflects a complicated Dtch political landscape. This is marked by recent coalition collapses, significant gains for liberal and centrist parties, and a highly competitive race for forming the next government.
Wilders comes a VERY close second but so what? Even if his Party had won, the other Dutch Parties had made it cleat that they would not enter into any pact with the PVV to enable it to govern. Most European electoral systems are proportional representation or some variant thereof and these almost guarantee that a strong centre-right anti open borders party will struggle to win and govern. In essence, the system is constructed to ensure managerial class mediocrity and the continuation of globalism.
It makes me wonder HOW we vote ourselves out of it and I see a similar situation in the UK arising in 2029 if Reform continues to poll well. Here, we will see the Lib/Lab/Green/SNP/Plaid blob tactically vote to ensure an ABF strategy is enacted. ABF = anyone but Farage. Now we witnessed this a few weeks back in Caerphilly when the opinion polls were overturned by the blob voting tactically.
It is often said that IF voting actually changed anything, they would not allow it.
