Back in 1945, the Allies were not trying to find some “good” Nazis to try and do a deal with in order to bring WW2 to an end. Instead, they sought the unconditional surrender of the Regime and in due course they put many of its leader on trial and executed them.
All of this brings us to something being publicly portrayed as a “negotiation” between the US and the Mullahs in Tehran.
Is it “negotiations” or is it something else?
Iran claims that has outlined four key demands for any US negotiations:
• Guarantees against future military action.
• Compensation for war-related losses.
• Formal control over the Strait of Hormuz.
• No restrictions on its ballistic missile program.
Frankly, who cares what they want? We shouldn’t care at all. This regime is being pulverised and I don’t see what there is to negotiate.
Leaving ANY of those behind the Islamic Republic in any positions of power will be seen as failure. You see the core problem is that it is a genocidal Shia Islamic Republic which as a catchphrase that goes something like “Death to America”. It is the wishes of most Iranian people that they want to free of Islamic repression. They don’t want any continuity with the past, they want a clean break.
If a “deal” is reached that leaves any sort of governing Mullahocracy then that is going to be a massive fail. Iran deserves a shot a freedom, a freedom that was taken from them in 1979 by the advent of the Ayatollahs. The son of the late Shah, Prince Reza Pahlavi, is well liked within and without. He is western facing and wants good relations with Israel and the US. His ascent to the throne would be a return to a golden age for the Iranian people and a repudiation for the demonic Mullahs!
