You know the superficial facts by now.
A US military Black Hawk helicopter and an American Airlines regional jet collided on January 30, 2025, over the Potomac River near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. This midair collision resulted in no survivors among the 67 people aboard both aircraft.
This is a video of the horrible event.
It was a truly awful incident and the loss of life appalling. However President Trump was quick to suggest that atrocious DEI policies *may* have had a role to play. There was intense speculation concerning one of the Blackhawk Pilots – was he/she transgender? Some social media suggested that it was a man pretending to be a woman called Jo Ellis piloting the Black Hawk but that was not correct. Yes, Jo Ellis IS indeed a transgender pilot but was not involved in this incident. Trump’s concern is valid – there should be ZERO trans pilots. Jo Ellis should not be allowed to serve.
