One of the essential lessons to learn in life is that time is money.
Your time is worth money and so is mine. The joy of Substack is that enables enthusiastic and committed writers to earn a little £££’s from their words. But it all takes time, and constructing an interesting and though- provoking substack is by definition a labour that consumes time. That’s why I ask you to subscribe to me here so I can then use the £5 a month – the price of a coffee in some high street establishments.
During the month of January, I posted 64 Substacks – the vast majority of which were free to read. I did this hoping that some might kindly upgrade from free to paid subscriber status. I think I was being a bit naive. Basically, if it is free then that’s great but if a little commitment is to be made, forget it.
So, going forward I will do as others do and produce content but it will be for those who are prepared to support me by subscribing.
