After a week of the mainstream media and political establishment demonising Nigel Farage and Reform, things took an ever more disturbing twist with the shocking news that senior Reform speaker, 78 year old Ann Widdecombe, had been found dead and that it looked like murder. Police have arrested a 26 year old WHITE man, we are informed. At time of me writing this, no motive has been given.
Now Ann Widdecombe has been part of the UK’s fixtures and fittings since the second half the 1980’s. She arrived during the final Thatcher years. She soo developed a reputation as a no-nonsense politician and later went on to became a TV personality.
Ann was born in 1947, went to Oxford before entering politics. She was elected as the Conservative MP for Maidstone in 1987 and she served 23 years in Parliament until 2010. Under John Major, she rose to become Minister for Prisons and Employment, earning a reputation for tough policies! She famously describing Michael Howard as having “something of the night about him.” In opposition, she held shadow cabinet roles including Shadow Home Secretary.
Ann was also a devout Christian convert to Catholicism and was outspoken on issues like abortion, law and order, and Europe. When she left Parliament, she embraced TV fame on Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Big Brother. A lifelong Eurosceptic, she backed Brexit, became an MEP for the Brexit Party in 2019, and later joined Reform UK as Immigration and Justice spokesperson. She was close friend of Nigel Farage who has put out a lovely tribute to her.
I was invited on the Mike Graham show to pay tribute to Ann but my computer crashed just as I was about to go on-air! Ann appeared on a podcast I hosted a few years ago and she was just as you would expect. She was well informed, not to be trifled with and aways entertaining. And now she is dead.
Tributes had been pouring in following the announcement of her sudden death but then came the twist – it was suspected murder. Now all decent people would respond to this horror with sympathy and understanding, but there were exception.

How can people have such hatred towards this 78 year old woman? I’ll tell you why – it’s because they have been trained by the mainstream media to hate. Whether it is Nigel Farage himself or Reform in general, the hatred is directed towards them.

This is part of the concerted hate wave directed against Team Farage. The UK deep state has gone into overdrive suggesting that Farage is the worst person in Britain and by inference those around are just as bad. Ann Widdecombe knew just how dangerous this pro-Remain State can be. She was ON Talk Radio the day before her death…
She knew. Farage knows. Those of us who have eyes can see too.
The British deep state will be ANYTHING to stop Farage getting near power.
I think they want Farage taken down, dead or live.
Perhaps Ann Widdecombe was some sort of warning?
