Did anyone watch former SNP Leader Nicola “Queen of Scots” Sturgeon performance on the BBC Sunday Morning’s Laura Kuenssberg programme?
I would recommend it to all aspirational actors.
You see Nicola went on to explain that she is TOTALLY INNOCENT of knowing about her husband, Peter Murrell, years of embezzlement of SNP funds. In fact she went on to paint herself as the real victim and that she is being made to “serve a sentence for a crime I didn’t commit”
This is distraction politics. No one is accusing her of Embezzlement. However many people are wondering how it was she never noticed the unbelievably extravagant purchases that her husband made and which were in her house. Her argument is that he and her earned high salaries so there was nothing too surprising to see let alone question where the money came to pay for it!
What’s a £14,000 fountain pen between friends, right?
As to the awkward issue of that £126,000 Campervan parked in her mother in laws drive for TWO YEARS, well, she never saw it. The angle of the drive hid it from her. Even Google Earth saw it, she didn’t.
As to why as SNP Leader she did not notice the pilfering her husband was carrying out in the annual accounts, well, she saw nothing that concerned her and anyway it was all signed off by the accountants. Nothing to do with her as Leader.
Sturgeon would have us believe that she is the victim here and that at no point did she notice a damn thing.
Who believes that?
Sturgeon had a reputation as a very astute politician, well aware of all that was going in around her. Except in her household. And in the SNP accounts.
