I used to be very pro-Monarchy and like many of you I had a lot of respect for the late Queen Elizabeth. On the whole, she carried out her duties with dignity and let’s face it, she had been around for a very long time. She was on the throne before I was born and so like many Brits I became used to having this national figure who espoused a quiet dignity. But that was the past, it’s gone.
The ‘Firm” as Prince Philip called the Royals, is now being shaken to the core following the ARREST of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, the last Queen’s second oldest son. This happened yesterday morning when police descended upon his residence at the Sandringham Estate and he was taken into custody for questioning on alleged misconduct in public office. Thames Valley Police said they were assessing a complaint over the alleged sharing of confidential material by the former prince with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. We must remember he remains innocent until proven guilty.
Now then, his arrest raises questions not JUST about him and how he conducted himself but more broadly into the Royal Family. What exactly did Queen Elizabeth know about her son’s indiscretions? What did the then Prince Charles know? We DO know that Andrew paid Virgina Guiffre £12m despite no admission of guilt. Who would do that if there was innocence?
It is suggested that Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip and Prince Charles all handed over £££ millions to Andrew who then paid Ms Guiffre. The crunch question. is why did they “lend” him this huge sum and for what? Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are now dead so we cannot ask them what they knew but Charles is very much alive and now King!
So, he has questions to answer. Did he have knowledge of Andrew’s links to the Paedophile Epstein? It seems hard to imagine that he didn’t? What did he do, what could he do? Had he any knowledge of Andrew’s financial dealings? It seems to me that he is now directly involved in this mess and I am not sure what is the way out of it.
He could remove Andrew from the line of succession, he has taken his titles, He could also Princess Beatrice and Eugenie from the line. That would close down that branch of the House of Windsor and potentially close the matter. That is best case scenario in my opinion.
You see there are new photos of Andrew that have emerged that show him playing with a very young child on the floor with what looks like a breast shaped ball. I won’t publish them here as I want to keep my substack as wholesome as possible but it is disturbing and raises darker questions about Andrew.
Most families have a black sheep or two somewhere amongst them. That’s just life but when you are occupying these very high constitutional offices then I am afraid that high standards are required of you. Cavorting with a convicted paedophile and sex trafficker was atrocious judgement from Andrew but did the House of Windsor seek to cover up for him? If it is proven that it did, the whole edifice may come crashing down.
