Will Hamas get a State visit?

Now that President Trump has LEFT the UK, it’s back to business as normal for the Starmer regime and the first order of business is….recognising “Palestine”!

The UK is to recognise the state of Palestine, potentially as soon as today – with the prime minister insisting it was always part of the plan.

This is against the wishes of the US and Israel but Starmer is playing domestic politics here and seeking to ingratiate himself with his own rabidly pro Palestinian backbenchers. He knows that they are foaming at the mouth to reward Palestinian violence and so giving Hamas and the PA a State – even as they retain hostages taken three years ago – is a price he is prepared to pay.

Maybe he can set up a visit for them to meet King Charles next?

Starmer could not care less about Israelis OR Palestinians. But he does care about his position as Prime Minister. He knows there is simmering rebellion against him on his own backbenches so virtue signalling on “Palestine” may help ease some of the concern. Perhaps he will make the announcement wearing a keffiyeh for bonus points?

There is a simply truth here that needs spelt out; If you reward terrorism then you get more of it! People seem to forget that when Israel vacated the Gaza Strip and handed it over to “Palestinians” in 2005, the first thing they did was to vote for Hamas after which elections were then permanently cancelled. Terror reigned until Oct 7th.

Israel was right to respond as it has and I have zero sympathy for Hamas and the fools who endorse it.

For the UK to recognise a State that does not and cannot exist is a national embarrassment but the truth of the matter is that Starmer is desperate to preserve his grip on power and if that means casting Israel to the wolves, he will not hesitate.
