Getting men out of women’s spaces!

I reckon that the VAST majority of men and women respect each other and are quite happy to acknowledge places where both genders can have privacy. However the trans movement sought to change all that and had a fair bit of success BEFORE The UK Supreme Court issued a unanimous ruling.

The epic legal case was For Women Scotland v. The Scottish Ministers. This (unexpectedly) clarified that the term “sex” in the Equality Act 2010 refers to biological sex assigned at birth. This means “trans women”, even those with a Gender Recognition Certificate, are not legally recognised as women under the Act for purposes like single-sex spaces, services, or protections.

This has been the game changer in the UK!

However, providing this legal clarity has invoked the wrath of trans advocates who shriek it has potentially increase discrimination and uncertainty. In response, the Equality and Human Rights Commission released interim guidance in April advising that trans individuals do not change their legal sex under the Act, even with a GRC, and can be excluded from single-sex services where proportionate.

Again, the trans lobby reacted in anger.

The EHRC then launched consultations to update its statutory Code of Practice, including changes to chapters on gender reassignment and single-sex exceptions.

New reports indicate the EHRC is finalising and set to publish full statutory guidance. This would explicitly ban trans women from many single-sex public spaces, such as toilets, changing rooms, and refuges—submitting it to ministers for approval.

I think that is fantastic news for women and girls and all sensible men will support it. Expect more outrage from the predatory trans lobby and the BBC!
