2nd Generation Remigration
The David Vance BriefingRead More
Rupert Lowe says that if there was to be a Restore Britain Government then deporting 2nd generation migrants who commit serious crime would be a policy objective. He further claims that Restore would develop bilateral agreements with 3rd countries so that it could then deport such 2nd generation migrants.. A good example of such an individual would be Axel Rudakubana, the 2nd generation Rwandan migrant who was convicted of killing those three young girls in Southport back in 2024. In THAT case, I would have much preferred Rudakubana to be executed but deportation would be also acceptable. When it comes to what Restore wants to see happen here the issues are; Is this practical and is it a priority?
Over at Reform, there is no such policy aim. To the best of my knowledge Reform has no pledge to deport 2nd Generation migrants or strip British Citizenship from those who commit crimes here. In fact Reform make it clear that children of long term residents can have a path to actual citizenship.
I find myself thinking that whilst deporting 2nd Generation criminals is desirable, it is not the immediate priority.
You see there are around 1.8-2 million illegal migrants here and I want to see every one of those sent packing. I want them all deported. After that has taken place, we can then turn our attention to the second-generation migrant criminals! So I am not disagreeing in principled with what Restore says it wants to do but I am saying that the priority is in the here and now. That is where Reform seems to stand.
There is also the unspoken question could be actually deport 2 million illegals? Both Nigel Farage and Zia Yusuf have committed to deporting 500,000 – 6000,000. That’s about a third of the number here right now. It seems very modest to me but then again there is another factor in ply that tends to go unspoken.
I mean do you think that even the 600,000 migrants over five years would co-operate with their removal OR do you think that in itself would trigger mass civil unrest in high migrant areas? If the latter, how would Reform actually deal with that? I can’t see anything other than a very strong police and military response being needed to get them OUT of our country. Given the concentrations of these illegal migrants in our cities and town and the fact so many come from third world savage countries, I think they would not go without a struggle.
Have we the political will to ensure that they are scooped off the street and sent back to somewhere else? And where might that somewhere else actually be given that by and large we haven’t a clue were they actually come from?
It seems to me that that practical implications of mass deportations will take spine and steel to make them happen. You can imagine the howls from the Left and the BBC. So ALL political energy should be focused on achieving that.
600,000 out by 2035 is not ideal but it’s better than letting them remain.
