Did you see that a Zack Polanksi endorsed Green candidate called Sohail Asghar has been arrested on suspicion of modern slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and assault in Accrington, Lancashire? The arrest occurred on 6 November 2025, and Asghar, who was elected in May to represent Accrington West and Oswaldtwistle Central on Lancashire County Council, has voluntarily given up the Green Party whip, now sitting as an Independent councillor within the Progressive Lancashire Group opposition.
