You don’t need a breakfast to learn. I rarely had breakfast when I went to primary school, though we all got a free small bottle of milk when we arrived (something Thatcher ended much later). Breakfast or no breakfast is just a matter of habit. What I missed at breakfast I made up for at lunchtime with the free hot school meal.
